What's next?

From our correspondent in Thassos

I already knew that mythology is a thing that Greece is very famous for and very proud of. It’s really a great asset. Nevertheless, during a small Easter vacation this weekend, I was very surprised to see that in the beautiful island of Thassos everything is called Mythos: a beer, a travel agency, a hotel and some other stuff that I didn’t take pictures of. Any naming companies you wish to recommend?

Quote of the day

An excellent thought in the context of engagement planning "Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Involve me and I will understand."

The age of diversity

On his visit to Bucharest, Russell Davies noticed (close to Piata Amzei) this funny store called Bonus Plus (foto 1). The strange thing happens that right next to this store there is now another one (foto 2) which is worth noticing. It offers both "clothing & legalized translations". I just don't get it - which is the bonus and which is the plus?

A Creative on planning

I was reading the March edition of AdWeek when I've found this article (an interview actually) called "Truth in Advertising". Jamie Barrett, partner/creative director at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners expresses his view as a creative on the Lie "We believe wholeheartedly in account planning".

"We believe in smart people. And we believe that planners are among the most brilliant people in advertising. Do we think great advertising can be created in the absence of a planning department? Absolutely. But we'd be fools not to work alongside people who can find a method in our madness. And bigger fools not to work alongside people who can inspire us."

Pretty fair, I'd say!
